With an obsession in photography and a keen eye on nature’s beauties, Kevin has been taking up courses on design and photography since 2006. And with his growing interest and specific training on taking portrait photos, he soon was hired for freelance wedding photo jobs. He has unusual skills on lighting and photo retouching which make his photos a piece of visual art themselves. His works are often credited with novelty and an ability to capture impressive moments.
I appear on this month's feature on She Brides online - a little piece of write-up about my wedding photography. It is really a very very big encouragement on my photography career as now I got some solid acknowledgement in the industry and more and more people get to know me and like my style.

Last Sunday was full of joy and fun as I had the chance to bring a model with her make-up artist to my friend's upstairs boutique in Causeway Bay - "Pray" to take some stylish fashion shots. I get to know Ka Yee (the model) and Kennie (the make-up artist) in my portrait photography class last year. Although they work only as freelance, I am very glad that they show their professionalism and 100% trust in me. Ka Yee changed 5 sets of clothes, each of them expressing a different charm of her ranging from a boyish teenager to a sexy young lady. I would also like to send my special thanks to "Pray" for giving me a free hand in making use of their venue and their wardrobe.

I was really amazed when I got the news that Cable TV is going to shoot a 3-minute feature on how I made the smoke photos. I was very excited and a bit nervous yet with the friendly and prefessional crew of Cable TV, the interview and production shots were completed successfully in 3 hours last night. The program called 拉近文化 will be rolled out on the Cable TV Finance Info Channel at 11:30pm on July 25 2009. I can't wait to watch the program! And I'd love all of you to share my happiness too!

I have bought a few rolls of Kodak Ektar 100 135 film last week and I have heard from others that this film is offering the finest and smoothest grain. The photos really look so good with high contrast, vivid colors and fine details. I highly recommend using this negative film to take portraits as you can see from below photos the skin tone is very natural and nice. This set is taken with my favourite Nikon FM2 with 50mm/1.9 Retina lens.
Finally I have my own Web Site up. Pls check it out @ http://kevinchiuphotography.com/ Pls feel free to give me some comments to make it better. Cheers~!
